After a 14 year career as a creative director in advertising agencies in the Middle East, Lebanese Assaad Awad moved to Madrid to fulfill his dream of being a fashion designer. From his small studio in Lavapiés neighbourhood, the vanguardist designer and craftsman develops his extraordinary collection of leatherworks, accessories and jewelery, internationally appreciated by figures such as Lady Gaga or Madonna. Assaad Awad talked with us about his work and the passion for Paulino Spectacles:
What do you like the most in your Paulino Spectacles glasses?
I love Paulino Spectacles because every piece feels unique in the design and execution.
What you enjoy the most about your work?
The creative process, I'm very experimental, so the first steps in designing is the best part, in a real world approach it would be like the first month in a relationship.
Where do you get inspired?
I get inspired from almost everything around me, section of fruits, vegetables, leaves, birds, nature...
